Tax Day Deadline Tuesday | News
(ST. LOUIS, MO ) – Tax payers have an extra day to finish their 2011 Federal Income Tax returns. Since April 15th fell on a Sunday and Monday is Emancipation Day in Washington, D.C., taxes are due April 17th. Emancipation Day marks the celebration of when Abraham Lincoln signed a law ending slavery in the District of Columbia.
Taxes must be postmarked by midnight Tuesday.
