ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO (KTVI) – An investigation is underway to find out why a car caught fire parked in a driveway. Police and firefighters are trying to figure out if it was arson. Fire officials got the call around 1:30 a.m.
They arrived to find a convertible, still sitting in a driveway and burning in the 10,000 block of Baron at Princess Drive in Castle Point.
The fire spread to the house and several firefighters from Riverview and Ferguson responded to help put out the blaze in just 20 minutes. Police say the residents escaped uninjured.
Fire officials with Metro North Fire say the blaze just didn’t look right. The St. Louis County Bomb and Arson Squad has been called in to investigate.
