One Stop To Find Lost Pets

What happens when your pet goes missing? First, don’t panic. Why? Because 90 percent of stray pets in the St. Louis area end up at one of three agencies: the Humane Society of Missouri, the Animal Protective Association of Missouri (APA) or St. Louis County Animal Control.

The Humane Society has three locations: Chesterfield, Maryland Heights, and St. Louis City. The St. Louis County Animal Control has an office close to Florissant boundaries.

Florissant Pet Cemetery Expansion Remains Uncertain

The owner of Imperial Crown Pet Cemetery faced another public hearing with the Florissant City Council Monday night, but not without a few more complications.

Rose Darnell presented her plan to expand her pet cemetery at No. 115 and No. 7 North Highway 67 and requested a special use permit to have the expansion in a R-4 zoning district, which is a residential zone.

Hazelwood Firefighters Save Family Pet in House Fire

Hazelwood firefighters had a busy weekend. Along with the three-alarm blaze at Republic Services’ recycling firm on Byasse, the also rushed to save a family caught in a fire on Foxfield.

Although there was a lot of fire damage to the house, the good news is that all family members who lived there survived and one of the pets – near death when it was first brought out – is now alive.
