The Florissant City Council will take its first look and consideration for the financing of a disc golf course in Florissant Monday night.

The Council will consider a bill that would appropriate $16,500 from the park improvement fund to capital additions for the disc golf course, which would be would be located at Dunegant Park, if approved.

A broken water main that has been gushing all day on Carmelita in Florissant is finally patched. Crews say that patch needs to settle for about four to six weeks before permanent repairs will hold.

The six inch, cast iron main was installed in the late 1950's or early 1960's.

While the Golf Club of Florissant has been a big draw for the city for the past few years, officials are hoping a new disc golf course would be a bigger boon to the city.

The Florissant Parks and Recreation Department as well as a subcommittee composed of council members and park board members have been discussing the possibility of a course for Dunegant Park.
