Florissant City Council Takes Next Step in Plaza Madrid Redevelopment

The Florissant City Council took the next step in the process of redeveloping the Plaza Madrid Center Monday night by voting to approve N3 Retail Developers as the project’s preferred developer.

The company is asking for $4.5 million in tax-increment financing (TIF) for the redevelopment, which would cost an estimated $12 million and possibly include a dollar store, convenience store and strip center.

Hazelwood Looking to Grow Business Sector through Annexation

Hazelwood City Council approved resolution adopting a boundary change plan, which has to be submitted to the St. Louis County Boundary Commission by July 1.

Under a plan and map to be submitted to the St. Louis County Boundary Commission by July 1, the City of Hazelwood will indicate an interest in being open to the idea of expansion that would place properties fully within city boundaries.
