Officemax Makes Sixth Grade Teacher's "Day Better"
Cameron Coleman, a sixth grade teacher at Pine Lawn Elementary School, and the 20 students in his class received a pleasant surprise when representatives from OfficeMax and Adopt-A-Classroom visited the class to present several hundred dollars worth of much needed classroom supplies.
The visit was part of the "A Day Made Better" program, a national event founded by OfficeMax and the nonprofit organization, Adopt-A-Classroom. Their goal is to help "erase" teacher-funded classrooms.
Coleman, who was nominated to the recognition by Pine Lawn Principal Angela Kinlaw, is among 1,000 teachers nationwide to receive the surprise visit.
