Hail Storm Bringing In New Workers

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)– Recent bad weather means good business for those in construction and windshield repair. The April 28th hail storm is bringing lots of new workers to the area.

Jim Compton with Compton Roofing says he’s been hiring in and out of town workers to keep up with demand. He’s expecting the number of construction jobs to jump 300%-400% percent by July. He also says the out of towners will boost the local economy.

Windshield repair companies are also profiting. Sales are up 200%.

Compton also says be sure to hire a local contractor and double check their qualifications before taking them on.
